  • 2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breast Protein source

  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheese Provides creaminess and binding

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Place your 2 pounds of boneless skinless chicken breast directly into the crockpot.
  • Add the cream cheese to the crockpot with the chicken.
  • Mince 2 garlic cloves and sprinkle them over the chicken and cream cheese.
  • Measure out 2 tablespoons of ranch powder and add it to the mixture.
  • Add 3 tablespoons of unsalted butter to the crockpot.
  • Pour in 1/4 cup of chicken broth.
  • Sprinkle 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 1/4 teaspoon of ground black pepper over all the ingredients.
  • Gently stir to combine the ingredients and coat the chicken with the cream cheese and seasonings.

Cooking

  • Cook the contents in the crockpot on low for about 6-8 hours or on high for 4 hours.
  • Once cooked, shred the chicken directly in the crockpot using two forks.
  • Stir in 8 ounces of chopped and cooked bacon, mixing it into the shredded chicken.
  • Mix in 1 1/2 cups of shredded cheese until it’s melted and well combined.

Notes

Serve over rice, mashed potatoes, in sandwiches, or as a topping for baked potatoes. Leftovers keep well and can be reheated easily.
