Preparation

  • Place the boneless, skinless chicken breasts into the crock pot in a single layer.
  • Sprinkle the ranch seasoning mix evenly over the chicken.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Stir until smooth.
  • Pour the creamy mixture over the chicken breasts, ensuring they are well covered.
  • If using, sear the chicken breasts in a skillet over medium heat with olive oil until they have a light golden color.

Cooking

  • Cover the crock pot and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours.
  • Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese shortly before serving, allowing it to melt into the sauce.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers at room temperature for no more than two hours; refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days.
